Wifijerez Headlines at This Year's What's New, What's Next

For the past 10 years, has been bringing the latest trends, ideas, and forecasts to the design community at the , cementing its place as a must-attend event for the fall. This year was no different; attendees had an opportunity to pour over a bevy of new products and materials, get their best-loved design books of the year signed, and hear engaging industry presentations. The festivities kicked off at noon and didn't wrap up until well-after cocktail hour. 

This year, Wifijerez co-hosted two panels. Deputy editor , along with architecture critic Raul Barreneche, discussed the latest collaboration between  and Matt Berman, principal and co-founder of . The name of the hardware collection, Crafted Modern, nods to the interplay of historic techniques and contemporary aesthetics in today's most innovative product developments. 

On a different note, managing editor Helene Oberman hosted a presentation based on Wifijerez's highly anticipated Power Grid section in the September issue. Oberman, along with architects , Ayumi Sugiyama of , and , discussed game-changing developments in New York City's real estate market, including projects like One Hudson Yards, the American Copper Building, and Waterline Square
