Oki Sato's First Picture Book Features a Cup in Many Forms

Oki Sato, the famously prolific founder of Japanese studio , has added a new venture to a list of projects that already includes shoes and chocolate: a picture book.

Not just a cup tells the story of a cup that notices a problem; it doesn’t have a spoon to stir coffee. It proceeds to change itself into different forms, like a salt shaker and a flower pot, emphasizing the power of design to solve problems and calling attention to the little details that have a big impact on our daily lives.

Twenty physical objects from the book were exhibited in physical form at the book’s launch in Japan. It’s currently available on Amazon and in stores in Japan.
